Day 4 - Lancashire rock The Foundation; then Rock Out at Oistins!

Today dawned bright, sunny and very hot as the lads headed to The Foundation School just along the coast at Oistins for the second game of the Tour. This was a tougher contest than the first game, The Foundation School team being much sharper in the field and also boasting a couple of decent bowlers; but their batting wasn't too crisp and at 62 all out they fell well short of the Lancs total of 123-8 off 30 overs - strangely reduced by the umpires from 35 overs when Lancs had batted for 28! "Oh, Man - we forget to tell you!".

Lancs won the toss and elected to bat on a slow and slightly damp wicket. The openers (Wright and Khan) looked fairly well set at 19 off the first 6 overs but Wright fell to a spectacular one-handed catch in the covers and Khan was then caught and bowled in the next over without any addition to the score. The pitch was proving unpredictable and Seward was next to go caught for 1 (21-3) and Brown followed soon after LBW for 0 (24-4). Morris hit a superb cover drive for the first boundary of the innings but then departed run out for 5 after a mix up with Brownlow at the non-striker's end. The score was now 34-5 in the 12th over and it was looking doubtful whether the team would bat out the overs. Brownlow and Davidson then staged a bit of a recovery and added 23 before Brownlow was bowled for 17 by a ball that kept low. That brought Phelan to the crease and he and Davidson built a tidy partnership of 51 before Phelan holed out at mid wicket for 23 and Davidson followed soon after for the same score to a very doubtful caught behind decision. It was left to Clough (11no) and Jackson (1no) to see out the innings.

The home team were gifted a few extras in the first over but Jackson struck with an LBW to take the first wicket with the score on 7. Brownlow then had the next wicket as Brown took a comfortable catch. By the time Smith took the next 2 wickets (both clean bowled) the school were 38-4 and well behind on run rate.It got worse for them as Brown produced a fine throw to claim the next wicket with a run out (39-5) and Harrison grabbed the next 2 - the first bowled and then a catch off his own bowling - to make it 44-7. Davidson then chipped in with his first wicket of the Tour bowling the next man (53-8), run out specialist Brown produced another accurate return for Seward to whip off the bails (61-9) and it was left to Wright to bowl the last man.

After a feed and brush up the lads met up with most of the supporters group at the Oistins Friday Night Fish Market - a truly great experience! They travelled there on a Reggae Bus to get the mood going and then rocked the main stage with some of the locals (and a touring netball team!).

A selection of photos from today!

The Foundation School ground - definitely NOT the Kensington Oval!

Shaun Anders with his new "man bag" and just a touch of blusher (because he's worth it!). He seems to have lost his mobile phone.

Wishy Washy collects the kit after the game. "Remember to turn the garments inside out before you wash them - that way they need less ironing"

The boys rock the Reggae Stage at Oistins - JP joins in (far left).
"Just Limein" after another good win - a rather sweaty looking James Seward, Will Davidson and Chris Brownlow.
Lisa Clough makes friends with the locals (Lisa is the one on the right!)
Older siblings - chillin' after being at the cricket all day. Pip, Beth, Liv, Tom, Mollie and Zach.
