Arrival in Barbados!

At least Dommo got us here, wish he hadn't let Will take control for landing though!

Well, somehow the Tour Party has got here! It looked doubtful for a while as Scooby struggled to get through customs at Manchester Airport with his vast quantities of cash in various currencies and Shaun Anders had trouble with his grossly overweight kit bag - what was he going to do with 36 cricket balls anyway?. Kit Manager Umar Khan was then stopped at Grantley Adams International Airport and was "questioned" at some length as to the nature of the white powder he had in various plastic bags - it took some persuasion (and some form of search behind an obscure screen!) but the Customs Officer eventually accepted that Umar had indeed taken the Daz Doorstep challenge and that the dodgy looking substance was in fact nothing more than detergent! Dommo's 2 weeks' supply of Jaffa Cakes also made it through the border!

The lads have been allocated their rooms at Dover Beach and are as I type being fed and watered at Time Out at The Gap - then off to bed ready for tomorrow's practice session. Coach Leighton has been out to check the practice wicket at Dover Beach and once he'd cleared off the footballers reckoned it looked a bit like "..... a cobbled back alley in Dukinfield......" - should be a bit unpredictable; spinners paradise, batters nightmare!
