What have we learnt today?
1. The weather in Barbados can be a bit unpredictable!
At 6.30 this morning it was bright and sunny and by 7 absolutely blazing hot with the sun set in a cloudless blue sky and the crystal clear sea calm as a millpond. So it was that we headed inland to watch the Lancs lads' 3rd game at Brereton Cricket Club, where the pavilion is named after local boy and former West Indies Test player Wayne Daniel. The ground was a bit basic, though - goats had been seen trimming the outfield the day before the game! By 10 o'clock it was lashing it down and whilst the rain didn't last long few Clubs out here have pitch covers and the wicket got drenched and was deemed unplayable (i.e. saturated!) once the rain stopped! Ironically, within half an hour it was blazing hot again (and VERY humid!)

2. Driving through a tropical storm in an open sided Mini Moke is not a good idea!
The Sewards arrive at the ground in their "top of the range" Moke! The lads ended up with a bit of a free day and were given the choice of going off with their families or staying with the Coaches - some chose the former whilst the remaining group first visited the Concorde Exhibit at the Airport and then went off to a "Water Park" near Bridgetown for some fun. The game hasn't been completely lost, however, as the pitch and floodlights at Dover Beach had already been booked so Lancashire will take on today's hosts in a 20/20, under lights and with a white ball, tomorrow (Monday) at 6 pm.
